Messages by the founders

As the founder of SDA Hospitality Group, I’m incredibly proud of the decision we’ve made to elevate dining and hospitality to the next level. Over my 35 years in various business ventures, I’ve discovered that my true passion lies in the food industry—it’s in my DNA. I genuinely enjoy hosting and being around people, ensuring every guest feels valued and welcomed.

When my dear friend and now business partner, Anjalo Mendis, invited me to join this exciting project, I didn’t hesitate. I gave it my all because I wanted to bring top-quality dining to our country, similar to the world’s best restaurants.

Having dined at many world-class and Michelin-star restaurants during my travels, I’ve enjoyed experiencing different flavors. Wine is also an important part of my palate, and with a love for quality food in my DNA, I felt it was time to share my experiences through the SDA Hospitality Group. We now proudly manage Loon Tao, an authentic Chinese restaurant, and Spoons, a fine dining restaurant, in Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka.

I hope that everyone who visits both these restaurants, enjoys a memorable experience with both the food and the atmosphere
